    Come join us as we celebrate Pregnancy and Postpartum Support Minnesota's 6th Daisy Dash 5k! This family-friendly event will again be at Rosland Park in Edina! Events for kids and adults alike! Strollers and baby carriers welcome! We support all families!

    All proceeds go directly to the organization to provide support, advocacy, awareness, and training about perinatal mental health in Minnesota. We are a volunteer-run organization, and depend on the generosity of donors to achieve our goals. New info to be added soon! 

    Our goal is to raise $30,000 at this year's Daisy Dash, so that we can reach more parents who are in need of support, and educate providers throughout the state. We also want to develop more support for parents, in the form of support groups and social gatherings, to encourage parents to speak up and know that they are not alone!

    PPSM is sponsoring a Perinatal Mental Health and Psychiatry Training for mental health and prescribing professionals. This training will help you to better understand perinatal mental health complications including antenatal/postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD and psychosis. The training will cover risk factors, symptoms and interventions. It is ideal for mental health professionals, psychiatric prescribers, OB/GYNs and Midwives.

    Both trainings will be available- same date, same place!! Descriptions of each are below, and links for full details are also shared. Scholarships are available. Priority will be given to providers of color, and providers who serve underserved/underrepresented populations. See the link below for the scholarship application.

    PSI’s Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training is an evidence-based curriculum designed for mental health and psychotherapy providers who have previously completed at least fourteen hours of perinatal mental health training. This advanced training covers differential diagnosis, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches, and advanced therapeutic issues. It combines expert presentation with case studies, group discussion, and practical examples of treatment approaches. This course or an equivalent six-hour advanced training course is a pre-requisite for the Perinatal Mental Health Certification, in the mental health/psychotherapy specialty.

    The PSI Perinatal Psychopharmacology Advanced Training, provided by perinatal psychiatric experts, is an evidence-based training on psychiatric prescribing during pregnancy and lactation. It is designed for psychiatric prescribers who have previously completed at least fourteen hours of perinatal mental health training. This advanced training combines expert presentation with case studies, group discussion, and practical examples. It is an interactive, case-based advanced seminar, covering differential diagnosis, medication challenges, and your questions. This course is an approved prerequisite for the perinatal mental health certification in the psychopharmacology specialty.
